Munna Samosa is a renowned name for Samosa in Kanpur. In hindi we call it “Kanpur Ki Shaan”. The journey started when Shri Ram Gupta Ji, his nick name was “Munna”, started making Samosa back in the year 1973 from shop in Nehru Nagar. He was very conscious about the quality of Samosa for his customers; he used to prepare stuffing for Samosa on his own. In a very short span of time, people liked the taste and quality of samosa and they started calling him as “Munna Samosa wale”. Before starting Samosa making, he used to sell “Chaat” nearby Moti Jheel. He was having very tough time but he worked hard and never compromised the quality of Samosa for his customers. With the hard work and consistency in quality, Munna Samosa became famous and started another shop in Govind Nagar to serve the customers in South Kanpur region.

His grand son, Arpit Gupta is maintaining the legacy and providing the same taste and quality for years. Grand Father has given the formula for Samosa Stuffing; Arpit is using the same formula and making the customers delighted with the same quality and taste as earlier. Munna Samosa is not only a Samosa Shop but it is a felling for tasty and best quality Samosa.
